We welcome Stephen Humphreys to speak our club about Rotary Health!
Stephen Humphreys has been a Director of Australian Rotary Health since September 2018. Stephen joined the Rotary Club of Camden in NSW in 2002 and served as Club President in 2008-2009; Chair of the Peace Studies Sub-Committee of the District 9750 Foundation Committee in 2009-10 and served as an Assistant Governor for three years 2010 to 2012. Chair of the District 9750 Conference Committee in 2012 and became District Governor (9675) 2016-17. Stephen has always had a keen involvement in the community and has previously held committee positions, including President, on the parent bodies of his children’s schools for around 20 years. |

We are happy to welcome the District Governor of Rotary District 9675, Shane Burette!
Shane is a member of the Rotary Club of Fairfield City, where he previously served as club president. Over many years in Rotary, he has taken on roles at both club and district level, including District Vocational Chair before Tony Luck; and is serving on the boards of ROMAC – Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children and ShelterBox Australia.
Professionally, Shane is a Director with the Department of Veterans' Affairs, within the Integrity Division. He has worked with DVA since 2004, following earlier service with the Australian Army and the Australian Federal Police.
As District Governor, Shane's focus for 2026–2027 is Rotary's theme "Create Lasting Impact" supporting clubs to grow, develop their leaders, strengthen the member experience, and deliver projects that make a genuine and lasting difference in their communities.
Outside of work and Rotary, Shane enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and taking part in parkrun.

Welcome to Sharon Crean, Co-Founder & CEO of BeyondWater!
Sharon will join our meeting via Zoom from 7.20pm.
Sharon and her husband Pete have been married for 38 years, have two grown children, a son-in-law and four grandchildren. In 2001, they moved from New Zealand to the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. They took up new vocations, Sharon into education both in the secondary and tertiary sectors. Sydney is where BeyondWater started. Faced with the fact that nearly one billion people didn’t have access to clean drinking water and two billion didn’t have any form of a toilet, Sharon became an advocate for some of the most vulnerable people on the planet. Little did they know that five years later they would end up leaving their jobs, uproot their family and move to a place they had only been to a couple of times - Kenya. Nairobi based since 2012, they continue to raise and train a team of nationals that multiply their work further. Through the work of BeyondWater over 320,000 people each day have access to clean water and sanitation facilities. These include schools, medical clinics and remote communities. They are currently in their 14th year of being based in Kenya. Sharon holds an MBA in Marketing, completed a Diploma in Photography in 2025 and also holds a Diploma in Mental Health Coaching. In her spare time she is an avid wildlife photographer, keynote speaker and mentors young people. Sharon is a member of the Rotary Club of Pohutukawa Coast in New Zealand (D9920). This year Sharon is travelling throughout Australia to share about the work of BeyondWater and how schools, clubs, churches and community groups can be involved in transforming lives.
