The Rotary Club of Padstow Youth Trust
What are we trying to do?
Established in 1998, the Trust provides assistance to young people to help them reach their full potential in their chosen field. The Trust provides assistance for activities such as developing skills to assist in obtaining employment and nurturing exceptional talent, (e.g. sport, performing arts, literature, science, languages, mathematics, economics, information technology, ecology etc.). The Trust also assists in developing leadership skills and maximising opportunities for disabled youth. We also support appropriate projects being conducted by other agencies and schools.
In 1999 we made our first grants for such varied activities as attendance at a performing arts high school, the National Youth Science Forum, and leadership programs. Another award was presented to a local choir to enable them to obtain necessary uniforms.
Who will the Trust assist?
Projects which assist young people, aged up to 25 who reside in Padstow, Revesby, Panania, East Hills, Milperra and Picnic Point, are eligible to apply for support by contacting The Rotary Club of Padstow Youth Trust, PO Box 56, PADSTOW 2211.
How will the assistance be provided?
The Trust invests its funds in secure Trustee–Approved investments. Each year funds will be distributed to successful applicants as a one-year financial award. In some instances, the Trust may continue its support provided that significant benefit can be demonstrated from the assistance.
How can you help the Trust?
Together we can make a difference in the lives of young people in our area. Every gift, no matter how large or small, will help. Your business may like to offer more substantial or continuing support. To do so please contact the Trust.
You can also assist the Trust by recommending projects or young people who may benefit from the support of the Trust.
We thank you for your support because like you, we believe that all young people should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
