Trevor Withnall was born in Padstow in December 1943, and lived in Banks St Padstow until he was 21. He attended Sydney Technical High School in Ultimo and at Bexley. He trained at Marconi School of Wireless in 1962-63 in Radio and Electronics and maintained Ships' Radios and Radar on the Australian Coast in 1964-65 as a Marine Radio Officer with AWA. Underwent further study in Industrial Electronics and Instrumentation and commenced his own business in 1976.

He joined the Rotary Club of Padstow in 1986 as a result if his daughter being accepted for Youth exchange to Korea that year.

Trevor has been involved in RAWCS for many years and has been on FAIM trips to Papua New Guinea, Fiji ,Nepal and the Philippines. The project in the Philippines was a project undertaken by the Rotary Club of Padstow to supply and install rice drying equipment to villages in Central Samar, equipment sorely needed in that area. Trevor led teams of up to 23 volunteers and travelled to the Phillipines 13 times for this project which took 6 years to complete.

Trevor has served as President of the Rotary Club of Padstow twice. 1989-90 and 2001-2002. One of the projects begun in his first year as President was the Billy Cart Marathon held at the Bankstown Showground.

Trevor continues to be involved with RAWCS. Trevor currently serves District on the GSE committee.
