Some Costumes
The members always have a good time on the frequent social evenings, with the Melbourne Cup night a relaxed feature of the year's program. David Edmunds and his team (Lorraine, Peter, and Lauren) did a great job of entertaining and educating us about the Melbourne Cup.
Some highlights of the evening:
- The proceeds of the sweeps are to be donated for Cancer Research – a total of $366.00 was raised – well done everyone.
- The chocolates that David’s son donated for the prizes and the auction are/were delicious.
- The entire Club did a good job with their costumes and the following people won prizes:
- Angie Blazek – dressed as an Angel
- Jodie Pethybridge – dressed as a clown
- Trevor Withnall – dressed as a tree
- Terry Pedder – dressed as a trucker
- How many people guessed Warren Bond’s costume? He wore a South Sydney Rugby League jersey and he had cut out rabbits pinned to it! Give up? He was a “Rabbit Warren”.
