New Chum and Old Hand
It was fascinating to see the difference between the old hands and the new chums when it came to knitting squares for Wrap With Love's project to create wraps for the needy the world over. Mike Kenny (left) has barely a couple of stitches done, while Gaille Walton has not only nearly completed a square, she's knitted a blue square using red wool. It's marvellous what experience can do!
Another amazing thing that was much in evidence was the fascinating connection between knitting, glasses, and tongues. It seems that, when knitting, glasses and tongues both try to get as close to the wool as possible. Many pairs of glasses were seen to migrate to the end of their owner's noses, and many tongues were seen to be trying to help by poking out and wandering from side to side. What other unsupposed connections exist in the world of knitting?
