The Future
After an evening contemplating the history of the Club, President-Elect Colin Duff provided a counterpoint with a presentation on the future of Rotary. Some points that Colin made in his speech were:
- Today's world is vastly different to that on which the Club was founded.
- If this Club is to thrive and survive, it must seek out the enthusiasm of youth.
- It is my observation that our Club is happiest when it is involved in hands-on projects.
- By focussing on the needs of youth, our Club can do more and more for our community.
- I congratulate those Rotarians who have guided the Club in the past and I look forward to the future.
