Reminiscing
Past Presidents Gordon Taylor (1971-72) and Bruce Dunlop (1976-77) (above) presented a series of reminiscences on Club history. A very brief outline of Gordon's speech is reproduced below:
- President 1971 - joined about 1965
- Highlight of my Rotary career - Bathurst Conference with Gae Peluso, DG Jim Stanford 1979.
- About District Governors. Visit to RI HQ Evanston in 1974.
- Attendance Albert Webster in Bankstown Hospital trasnferred meeting.
- The late PP Vince Smith (should have been a DG). Save A Life buzzers. Padstow Probus with Ron Tilbury.
- Carols by Candlelight about 1975 with John Moro at Revesby.
- Les Conley letter - also for shorts.
- Mick Cannon - classes on speaking properly.
- Raft races with Rotaract. I formed the first Rotaract Club.
