Chair of the Golf Day Organising Committee, Allan Sweet (second from left), presented certificates of appreciation to each of the sponsors' representatives who were able to be present. The sponsors' representatives are, from left to right (excluding Allan), Charles Garcia (Alliance Real Estate), John Milne (Alexander Milne Insurance Brokers), Peter Giddons (One Steel / George Ward), Peter Dean (One Steel / George Ward), Carlos Miguel (Southern Sheet & Coil), and Jeiji Abbott (Advance Scaffold). As well as thanking the sponsors, Allan also said:
- Thanks to the helpers from the Club on the day for their really good support.
- Thanks also to the members of the organising committee - they got it right.
- The Golf Club is very keen on holding another day.
- Very special thank you to the three steel companies which came on board as sponsors immediately.
As a result of fund-raising, Padstow Rotary donated $4,700 to each of Caroline Chisholm Special School and Sarah Hilt Foundation.
