Geoff's award
A nomination was also submitted by Bryce Steep for Geoff Pullen, however the Pride of Workmanship award is for people currently employed. It was decided that Geoff's background of service to the community was of such a level to warrant recognition. He has been awarded a Community Service Award. (Geoff is pictured at left, receiving his award from Terry Martin.)
Geoff was initially employed by the NSW Government Railways and after a few years became a train driver until his retirement 52 years later. In addition, for a number of years he has been a steam train driver for the Rail Museum.
Geoff is also actively involved as a volunteer with The Salvation Army in property and grounds maintenance at Panania. His generous and conscientious efforts are evident in his meticulous attention to detail. His also involved with the Padstow RSL Sub-Branch and is always ready to assist its members.
