KB's history tape
When President Keith announced that the guest speaker for the night was to be Kevin Bouffler, Kevin gamely got to his feet to meet the challenge of the impromptu speech. It was only after that that Barry McConville started to play the tape of a speech that Kevin had given to celebrate the Club's 40th birthday.
The present day Kevin said, after the tape was finished, that he had been allocated 10 years of the Club's history on which to speak on that occasion. Everyone enjoyed hearing the tape, but Kevin said that if he had known of the existence of the tape, he would have destroyed it long ago. Modest to a fault.
