Mike thanks Courtney

Member Mike Kenny (left) was given the task of thanking Courtney Dailey (youngest daughter of Lorraine and Cliff Dailey) for her presentation on her time in American Samoa. Courtney went to American Samoa as an exchangee on PACE (Pacific Australia Cultural Exchange).

Samoa means "sacred earth". The culture is the oldest in Polynesia; the first inhabitants came from south-east Asia about 3,00 years ago. The population is largely Christian, with Sunday set apart as a day for rest and family activities. Fruit is plentiful on the islands, with bananas, star fruit, and pineapples growing freely.
