Loftus TAFE - Journey

Suzy and John Bown spent an entertaining half-hour regaling the combined Como-Jannali / Padstow clubs with their adventures. Suzy, John, and their cat, spent 8 years and 5 days sailing around the world visiting such places as:

• The Whitsundays and Darwin
• Indonesia
• Sri Lanka
• The Maldives
• Oman
• Eritrea
• Sudan
• Egypt
• Israel
• Cyprus
• Turkey
• Greece
• Italy
• Sicily
• Malta
• Sardinia
• Spain
• The Canary Islands
• The Carribean
• Panama
• Tahiti
• Tonga, and
• New Zealand

before returning home. They met up with old friends, trained their cat to get back on the boat if she fell off, worked for companies around the globe, experienced other cultures from their perspective, lost several years' worth of data when their computer crashed, ate a lifetime's supply of lobster, worked on a kibbutz, and bought diesel for 10¢ per litre (15¢ if you counted the "transport" charges).
