Barry has been a member of Rotary since 1971, when he joined the Dorrigo Club in District 9650. In 1978 Barry joined the Rotary Club of Padstow, where he has been a member ever since. Barry has put this time to good use, having been involved in all committees over the years. He was President of Dorrigo in 1974-75, and of Padstow in 1982-83. Currently, Barry is the Membership Chairman and Senior Citizens Chairman.
Currently, Barry is:
- on the District Governor Nominating Committee,
- the Resolutions Chairman,
- Rotaract Liaison, and
- Delegate to the Council on Legislation.
At International level, Barry has served as
- International Training Leader,
- a Zone Trainer,
- on the Leadership Development & Training Committee, and
- as Rotary International Rotaract Committee Chairman.
