Panania Markets
The Panania Markets are held on the second Saturday of every month (except January),
from 9:00am to 1:30pm, and are held in the grounds of the Panania Library. Apart from
being a colourful community event, where stall holders are able to display a
wide variety of craft goods, food, and information, the Markets are also an eagerly
anticipated event by the local community. And - not least of all - the funds raised
help the Rotary Club of Padstow to support important community activities.

The markets are held in the grounds of the Library. |
The Rotary Club is itself a stall holder, selling barbecue foods. |
A stall sells wooden items, the one next to it sells quilts. |
The tree-shaded pathway with seats provides opportunities to relax. |
Items of baby clothing are just part of the variety of the stalls. |
Another stall holder shows what can be done with photographs. |
The variety of goods, the ambience of the Library grounds, and the closeness to the shopping centre all draw people to the Markets. |
Beautiful artificial flowers are hard to distinguish from the real thing... |
...but equally beautiful examples of the real thing are available too. |
We change the crew on the barbecue from time to time. |
The "lavender lady" has gone all out to provide a theme for her products. |
Another stall holder provides a wide variety of china goods. |
And another stall holder selling sugar-coated nuts ... |
... shows how it's done. |
While one church provides information ... |
...another sells craft goods. |
Part of the attraction of the Markets is being able to find products (in this case, natural soaps) that the 'chains' won't stock. |
